Spreading the word of infant abuse with purple caps<\/span>!!<\/h2>\n

Each and every day infants across North America are shaken and abused because the person caring for them became frustrated with their crying. Many times the abuse could have been prevented had the person caring for the infant only known that early infant crying can be normal.<\/h2>\n

CLICK for Babies<\/i><\/span> is a North American initiative to help educate caregivers about normal infant crying, how to cope with crying and the dangers of reacting to crying in frustration by shaking or harming an infant.<\/h2>\n

The Auxiliary to UHNBC has pledged to join the thousands of people who have knitted and crocheted purple<\/span> caps for the Click for Babies Campaign.\u00a0 If you would like to join us, please\u00a0click on this\u00a0link:\u00a0 \u00a0https:\/\/www.clickforbabies.org\/stitchers-club\/<\/a>\u00a0and follow their directions.\u00a0 We will start collecting baby caps for the 2020 campaign.\u00a0 \u00a0All purple<\/span> baby caps can be donated to the auxiliary at the UHNBC Hospital Gift Shop.\u00a0 The caps will then be distributed for free to northern families with newborns.<\/h2>\n
